The grace of Jesus brings us into an inevitable redemptive tension with our culture. Living in this tension means gladly sharing the story he makes for us (though his life, death, and resurrection) and pursuing a life that honors all people, even if that honor is not returned.
As those who have a secure future with a present Lord, we are called to live in the city, as a city, for the city.

As those who have tasted of the coming age in Jesus, we long for this fullness to come everywhere to everyone.
God has brought his people into a story for the sake of the nations. This story is public, secret, and shared.
God redeems his people so they may experience being his treasured possession among all peoples.
In this, God’s people find that courage is experienced by trusting God’s redemptive activity and calling is experienced through obeying God’s voice.
